Dilemma:

• Dated kitchen and bathroom in a 1960’s ranch home

Resources:

• Complete kitchen and bathroom remodel

Implementation:

• Let in as much light as possible due to the dark wooded setting by installing a Velux skylight, combined with a gable window and glass blocks
• Created subtle indirect lighting in the sitting room
• Twin Velux skylights above indirect lighting highlight the deep stained maple cabinets
• Installed wide plank oak floor with custom dowel plugs
